Henry Big Boy Rifles

Letters from Big Boy Rifle owners

Anthony: Recently I sent you a picture of me and my grandson with the two new Henry H001 Lever Action 22LR that I bought for us for Christmas. I liked mine so good, that I bought me a Golden Boy 22LR. I am inclosing a picture of me and my prized Golden Boy. My dad gave me my first 22 when I was 5 years old. I have always loved hunting and shooting. But for the last few years I have gotten away from both. Now, I am excited about taking up the sport of shooting again, especially with my grandson. I also have three granddaughters. If they show an interest in shooting, I assure you they will get a Henry! I thank you for such a fine rifle, at such a good price and one that is made in America! You can't get any better than that. I hope one day to own a Big Boy .44. Again, I thank you for making this a good day for this 60 year old man!

Mr. Imperato:

You may remember me as the Oregon Coast resident who had ordered your Big Boy rifle from a local dealer but was suffering a significantly lengthy wait for delivery.

I contacted you directly and you interceded with the distributor to accomplish a speedy shipment.

I want to thank you for your help and impart the following:

A) Upon receipt, I removed the Henry from the box, ran a bore snake through it twice and loaded it with ten (10) Magtech 45 Colt 250gr. L-Flat cartridges.

B) I then proceeded with a good friend to nearby hills to fire the rifle. At age 69 years, I had not fired a rifle for 50 years. I shot 5 rounds at plastic water bottles at 40 yards against a man-made background of soil... blowing them all over the place.

C) My friend suggested a new target. He set up a spent 12 gauge shotgun shell on the ground and at the same range.

Kindly view the attached photograph as it is a testament to the cutting-edge accuracy (right out of the box) of the Henry rifle. I am a proud owner of my rifle.

Hi, I just bought a Henry Big Boy Rifle. I have had a lot of fun with it. Right out of the box with iron sight's the bullet holes were touching each other on the target. It look's as good as it shoots very solid.

I just wanted to tell you that my Big Boy .44 magnum is the sweetest shooting gun I have ever shot and I have shot a lot of them. It makes me very PROUD to be an American and know that this type of excellence is made right here in our Country. May God bless you and your family and your company and God bless AMERICA.

Mr. Imperato

I did receive your catalog. Soon after that My wife ordered a rifle from the Cabelas store here in Missouri. The rifle was a gift for my birthday, a 44 Magnum Big Boy. To say that I am particular would be an understatement. Perhaps I get My attention to detail from my father. Mr. Chesley Van Stratton was a fighter jet electrical inspector for over 40 years, and is still an example of how to live with meaning. So I guess it?s no real mystery why I became an aerospace quality assurance inspector.

The first thing I did when got my new rifle was look at the fit and finish. I looked at every detail, and I was impressed. It wasn?t until after I looked at every small detail that I actually looked at the rifle as a whole, and it is beautiful. Soon after I received my rifle My wife, My Father, and I went to the range. It shoot flawlessly. My father and I where very impressed. Even my wife, to my surprise was able to shoot the rifle three times. When we were leaving, one of the range officials jokingly asked me if I needed to have him take it home and clean it for me.

Your company makes an exceptional rifle. It helps renew the feeling of pride that I have living in this country. I don?t have many firearms but the ones I do have are of the highest (AMERICAN) quality , and not since my Kimber have I seen a firearm with the fit and finish of this rifle. I would like to personally thank the fine craftsman that build these rifles. I would also like to thank you Mr. Imperato, for making a very important pledge to make Henry rifles here.

Dear Mr. Imperato,   Thank you. Yes, I did receive your catalog and I ordered, through Callaghan Firearms of Marlboro, Ma, a Henry Big Boy .44. It only took a few days to arrive. I was very excited when I opened the box at Callaghan's and saw my new Henry. It has a nice solid feel to it. The craftsmanship is outstanding. I was even more impressed and delighted with the lever action. It was smooth and easy. I had tried a Winchester and a Marlin the day I placed my order for a Henry. Both the Winchester and Marlin have a stiff action that does not compare favorably to the Henry Big Boy.   I called your customer service number when I got home and sang the praises of your product.   I took the catalog with me to a family function last weekend and showed it around. I left it with my brother-in-law who is an avid gun collector. I promised that I would let him fire the Henry just as soon as we get past my Son's wedding (this weekend). I have no doubt that you will probably be receiving an order from him in the not too distant future.   Again, thank you for doing, so well, that which you do.   Sincerely,

Paul C. Ryan

I saw one of the original Henrys at a collectors store in Houston last week. He wanted $36,000.00 for it and believe me it was well worth it. I have never seen a gun that looked that beautiful before. The brass had a patina that caught your eye from 50 yards and the barrel was just as wonderful. I can easily see my grandson holding my Big Boy in 50 years and it will look just as good. The quality of your guns just keeps on getting better and better.

Thanks,
