I took my 11 year old son to the gun store a few weeks ago and let him pick out his first rifle. He had his choice of any 22 in the store. The first rifle the he looked at was a Henry H100Y. He used it to judge every other rifle he held and ended up picking the Henry. We took it out to the range and he loves it.
Now as Paul Harvy would say the rest of the Story. My father worked hard his whole life. We grew up with very little money but made do with what we had. He rasied us to value craftsmanship and to buy the best that you can afford. He was unable to afford the rifle that I wanted when I was a kid. I wanted a lever action 22. I did get another brand of Rifle that I cherish but my desire for the Henry never left me. When my son picked out the Henry I knew that we had just gotten one of the few things that he can own and enjoy the rest of his life. I was very proud of him for making the choice that he did.
I have purched many rifle over my life. Without quesion My sons Henry is the finest one in the house. I will be purching one for myself in the near future. I thank you for making the tool that has brought me closer to my son and for the ceaftmanship ands care that is so apparent in the design and action of this rifle.

Dear Mr. Imperato: I have attached to this email a couple of photos of my 7 year old son Warren with his Henry .22. So far he has fired more than 2000 rounds through the rifle without a glitch. He loves shooting it because it is light enough for him to fire offhand. As you can see from the photos, I shortened it to a 16.5 inch barrel, and I cut down the length of pull so that he could begin using it at age 4.5. You can also see in the photos that I added an AR-15 style muzzle brake for style. Thanks for making a great product! My son absolutely loves it! Best regards,
Daniel McCarthy

Dear Mr. Imperato:
Thank you for the email. I asked for your catalog after purchasing my youth model .22 at Boise Gun Company.
The rifle is just a kick to take out to shoot. I am 65 years old, and have been shooting since I was 5. I have a "good number' of firearms, but I'll be the only one that I'll spend more time with than the Henry is the M1911 I carry [properly concealed].
Along the way, the Army put me thru the Artillery and Bomb Disposal schools, and this had a lot with making firearms a major hobby.
You make an excellent product, and the Boise Gun Company represents your company very well in this city.
I wish you and your company every success.

I am just getting ready to purchase my third Henry rifle. I first purchased a Varmint Express and absolutely love it, using it to dispatch a pesky and destructive raccoon on our farm. Next I bought a Golden Boy in .22 Magnum which also dispatched a raccoon sick with rabies last year. I am just getting ready to purchase a youth model lever so I can take my nephews squirrel hunting when they visit this summer. My wife is looking forward to also using it herself so we can hunt together.
I own 2 Winchester 94's, 2 Marlin levers (a 336 and an 1894 in .44 Mag) and I can say without any reservation that the Henry rifles are my favorite rifles. After the youth rifle is purchased I start saving for your new 30/30. Between that and Hornady's new Leverevolution ammo I can't imagine a better brush gun for Michigan U.P. deer hunting. I have always loved lever guns and your's are top of the heap.
Thanks for making such a fine product available and keep up the good work.

Hi, I own a henry youth lever action and I love it. I hunt with it and shoot for fun with my friends. This was one of my favorite christmas gifts and it is one of my favorite guns. It is so accurate I can shoot a racoon in the foot.

Hello, We just like to thank you for making such a great gun in a small package. Our son saved up all his newspaper delivery money to buy a small gun so that he could go hunting with Daddy. He has to bring it along every trip and it's so great that it's small enough that he can shoot by himself. Here's a picture of him with his first grouse, he was so proud all camo'd up with his own gun! Thanks again,
Kim and Brian Braaten
