Henry Lever Action .22

Letters from Lever Action .22 owners

Anthony: Recently I sent you a picture of me and my grandson with the two new Henry H001 Lever Action 22LR that I bought for us for Christmas. I liked mine so good, that I bought me a Golden Boy 22LR. I am inclosing a picture of me and my prized Golden Boy. My dad gave me my first 22 when I was 5 years old. I have always loved hunting and shooting. But for the last few years I have gotten away from both. Now, I am excited about taking up the sport of shooting again, especially with my grandson. I also have three granddaughters. If they show an interest in shooting, I assure you they will get a Henry! I thank you for such a fine rifle, at such a good price and one that is made in America! You can't get any better than that. I hope one day to own a Big Boy .44. Again, I thank you for making this a good day for this 60 year old man!

Dear Sirs, Recently I purchased an H001 Henry rifle. I took it to the range a couple times, and then took my wife with me after I had drifted the rear sight some to get the windage right. To make a long story short, she's 54 years old and has very little gun experience. After learning the basics of safety and aiming, she is hooked. Worse for me, she's hooked on the Henry! Now, I have to buy another, as soon as I can get her back to work, as she is laid off at the moment. All it took was hitting that eight inch circle at twenty five yards, then she hit it a few times at fifty. That really did it. Now, she's confiscated it for her own. I think the little H001L suits me great, and I love the carbine length too. Thanks again, Henry, you made a believer out of me and a shooter out of my wife. You guys have a great product and I enjoy it a lot.

Sincerely,

My oldest son just received a .22 cal Henry Lever Action Rifle for Christmas from his grandfather.  Having grown up with a Ruger 10/22 all my life, I was surprised at the weight and balance of the Henry Lever Action.  My father-in-law stated that he had a Henry .22 Magnum Rifle and wanted to get one for his grandson.  We spent the last few days shooting, and I just wanted to say that this little gun has the smoothest action of any rifle I have ever shot.  We tore through about 300 rounds over the past couple of days and the Henry kept coming back for more.  And I get to teach my son the responsibility of cleaning the gun after each use (with a Hoppe's 9 Kit).  I am interested at looking at the other calibers and hope to make a purchase on a new Henry Rifle this coming 2009 year.

Take care,

Hi Anthony,   We talked about the 22LR I purchased for my son but I had to share this with you.  Please see photo's attached.    My son wanted a scope on this rifle so I purchased a 3-9x32 scope and immediately attached without shooting.  He shot very well with it at the range.  Easily dialed it in and he was, as expected, hitting bulls at 75ft no problem.  Well you and I talked about swapping out the stocks for a fancy so I took the scope off to prepare for shipping.  I decided to take it to the range without the scope just to see what it could do.  The pics attached will attest to the out of box quality.  I never touched the stock sights before shooting.  9 of the 10 shots are in the 9 and 10 rings at 75ft with a standard NRA 50ft pistol target.  Well where did the 10th go you may ask?  The second pic shows the last shot as I really could not see how I was doing with the first 9 shots at 75ft.  I took a shot at the logo at the far bottom right corner.  This was all off hand with my elbow on the bench.  You make a fantastic product!!!!!!!!!  Thank you!!!!   Thanks,

Dear Henry Rifle,

I have just purchased my first Henry Rifle the 17 HMR Wow! this is a really nice gun.

It is just like it stated smooth lever action.  It is so fun to shoot that on weekends my family and I go out in our pasture and shoot at targets.

I am planning on purchasing more firearms from Henry.  This truly is the best gun I own.

Dear Mr. Imperato, Ever since I was old enough to read I knew about Henry rifles and their role in our civil war. Yes, it was even nice to see them for sale at the local Wal-Mart. Being a blackpowder shooter, however, I never really paid any attention to the modern Henrys. All that changed after we installed our digital t.v. convertor box and I saw your ads on the RTN network.  They succeeded in their goal. Yesterday, I purchased a new H001 lever action .22. Of course, it is everything I expected from an American made firearm. The wood to metal fit, the blueing, the machining, and the astonishing stock finish, everything excellent. What sold me, more than all of that, was the passion you showed me for your product in those ads. The faces of the workers looked like people I know. In fact, one of them could of been mine if I was born in Brooklyn instead of Chicago. From those ads I know I can trust you and your workers to not only produce an excellent rifle, but also to stand behind it fully. Thanks again and may I wish you the best of luck and success in the future.

Splitting a card 25 feet with my new Henry Lever   I sent you an e-mail about me  (Joe's Fancy Guns) and that I had seen (Extreme Marksmen) on the History Channel a week or so ago, and it looked like they were using your Henry lever action 22 with the large loop, so I ordered in one from Jerry's Sport Center my wholesaler that I use a lot, and then we got over a foot of snow on the 28th of January, so soon as I had the lanes opened up I took the little Henry back toward the barn and stuck the little white card in a snowbank and fired off at 25 feet two shots and both hit as you can see from the pictures.  Not bad considering I had never fired the gun before. So the little new Henry is really a keeper!!!!

Hi; bought 3 years ago a .22LR H001 as a Christmas present to myself from a local dealer that imported them. Gun performs excellent, being absurdly accurate even with the cheapest ammo available and has secured me a few tasty preys on hunting trips.

It has become my mandatory "trip plinker" gun; wife also loves the handling and lightness, and many of the shooters around here that have test-fired mine are busting their heads against the walls for not buying one when they were available. In steel silhouette-shooting matches held at a local gun club I've even outshot scoped rifles using the factory sights...Awesome!

Last road trip we took in August was to a mountain town called Huancaya and although I was unable to hunt since it's a natural reserve, still managed to pop a few plinking shots outside the park and take a nice picture (Included) close to a lake, 11,800 feet over sea level.

Keep up the great work. Would love to purchase more of your lever guns when and if they are imported again.

Thanks
